Will the energy generation of the future develop in a decentralised and localised way? These and other questions about the energy generation and distribution of the future were asked by around 400 thought leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs at the 2-day E.ON Innovation Days 2019 in the Grand Hall Zollverein at the UNESCO World Heritage Zollverein site at the company's headquarters in Essen.

Top-class speaker panel inspired the participants
Under the motto: "Creating a world of Energy Freedom", almost 30 experts from business, research and development spoke over the two days about the latest achievements, but also about the greatest challenges we face in connection with the climatic development on our planet. Among others, E.ON was able to win Prof. Michio Kaku Professor of Theoretical Physics City University of New York as well as Prof. Dr. Johan Rockström Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and Professor in Earth System Science at the University of Potsdam for guest lectures.
