Mr. Koperek, the Grand Hall Zollverein is known for its full-service approach; what exactly does that look like?

On request, we can offer our customers real added value as a full-service provider: we take care of all the specially designed lighting and sound technology, the right furniture for the event, catering, non-food catering, hotel accommodation, arrival and departure services, moderator and speaker recommendations, supporting programs and the branding of the location. Customers can access the entire full-service system if they wish. As well as taking the pressure off their day-to-day business, this also means that the solutions and concepts that our event experts develop for them work smoothly and perfectly. After all, if you offer a full service, you should be in control of your processes.

What role does the personnel play in all of this?

Staff are indeed a critical factor for success. It makes a difference whether they are greeted in a friendly manner by helpful staff or whether they are simply processed by a faceless employee. The Grand Hall team exemplifies customer orientation as a fundamental attitude and this results in the behavior of all employees. The result is that not only are we a good host, but above all our customers are perceived as such by their guests.

What support do you offer for supporting programs for events?

We are located here on the 100-hectare site of the largest industrial world heritage site in Europe, are virtually in a huge museum and can organize many individual guided tours of the site on request - according to the motto "into the coke oven and up to the winding tower". During the anniversary celebrations of a medium-sized company, a large funfair was organized in front of the Grand Hall, but we have also set up an in-house Christmas market. Such "Family Days" are very popular because there is something for everyone. We currently recommend the exhibition "Fascination Zollverein" with large-format photos by Thomas Stachelhaus.
