WeinTour 2019 - for the first time in Essen

The "WeinTour" of the German Wine Institute (DWI) made its first stop in Essen. In the Grand Hall Zollverein at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kokerei Zollverein, there were numerous wine tastings, valuable wine tourism information. Prominent speakers as well as the German Wine Queen Angelina Vogt and the German Wine Princess Julia Sophie Böcklen led through a diverse supporting programme over 2 days.
The entertaining wine and cooking shows focused on delicious wine-food pairings, presented by master sommelier Hendrik Thoma and TV taste hunter Moritz Crone-Rawe (Rolling Taste). Hiking expert Manuel Andrack drew the visitors' attention to the tourist advantages of the wine regions in "RegioWalks" and also presented the most beautiful hiking trails of various wine-growing regions in a 30-minute hiking show.
